Machine Condition Monitoring is the practice of continuously or periodically evaluating the health and performance of machinery by collecting data from sensors and inspections. Measurements such as vibration, temperature, pressure, sound, speed, and energy consumption can reveal changes in how equipment operates. Analyzing these signals helps identify unusual behavior and early signs of wear or failure before they develop into serious problems.

For example, sensors attached to an industrial motor can detect increasing vibration that may indicate bearing damage. Maintenance teams can investigate the issue and schedule repairs before the motor unexpectedly stops. Machine Condition Monitoring is widely used in manufacturing, energy, transportation, mining, and other industries to improve equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, extend asset life, and support predictive maintenance.
