Context Awareness is the ability of a technology or AI system to interpret information in relation to the situation in which it occurs. Instead of treating each input independently, a context-aware system considers factors such as previous interactions, user intent, location, time, surrounding conditions, or related data to determine a more relevant response or action.

This capability is important in applications where the meaning of information changes with circumstances. Virtual assistants can use conversation history to understand follow-up requests, recommendation systems can adapt to user behavior, and smart devices can adjust their actions based on environmental conditions. In AI, context awareness can make interactions more relevant by helping systems distinguish what is happening from why it matters.
