HMI, or Human-Machine Interface, is a system that enables people to interact with machines, equipment, or computerized processes. It provides a visual or physical interface through which users can monitor information, enter commands, adjust settings, and control operations. Modern HMIs often use touchscreens, graphical displays, buttons, indicators, and interactive controls to present real-time information in an accessible format.

HMIs are commonly used in healthcare equipment, manufacturing plants, industrial automation, vehicles, energy systems, and smart devices. Their purpose is to make complex systems easier and safer to operate. By displaying important measurements, system conditions, alerts, and controls in an organized way, an HMI helps users understand machine activity, respond to problems quickly, and manage equipment efficiently while reducing operational errors.
