A Central Monitoring Station is a centralized facility where operators receive, observe, and manage alerts and information from multiple security or monitoring systems. It can bring together inputs from CCTV cameras, intrusion alarms, access-control systems, sensors, and other connected devices, giving personnel a single location from which to assess events and coordinate responses.

Central monitoring stations are commonly used by security companies, commercial facilities, industrial sites, and critical infrastructure operators. When an alarm or unusual event occurs, operators can verify the situation using available camera feeds and system data before escalating the incident. The setup often integrates video management systems, alarm management, communication tools, and automated event detection.
