A Camera Stream is the continuous flow of video data transmitted from a camera to a viewing, recording, or processing system. Instead of storing footage first and sending it later, the camera encodes captured frames and delivers them over a network or direct connection, allowing another device or application to display or analyze the video as it arrives.

Camera streams are fundamental to surveillance, video conferencing, traffic monitoring, remote inspection, and computer vision systems. Depending on the application, a stream may use protocols such as RTSP, WebRTC, or HTTP-based delivery, with factors such as resolution, frame rate, bitrate, latency, and compression affecting its quality and responsiveness.
